Another Bronze in Bupdapest International Foto Awards

In 2016 and 2017 I entered a lot of photography competitions. Although it was gratifying to sometimes win awards, I found that most weren't helping grow my audience, which was the main goal. So I've shifted my focus primarily to gallery showings and exhibitions. Still, every once in a while a contest catches my interest. I entered the 2019 Budapest International Foto Awards partially because it includes an exhibition in Budapest, but also because my wife lived there many years ago and we have great memories of the city.

This images, "Rainy night in Shinjuku," won Honorable Mention in the Architecture/Cityscapes category.
