A nice way to end 2019: I found out on December 27 that my image "Connection Station" from Burning Man 2018 was a Bronze medal winner in the Amateur/Events category of the 2019 Tokyo International Foto Awards. This is my favorite image from Burning Man that year; there's something about someone sitting alone on a bench in the deep playa (waiting for a connection? seeking solitude?) that captures the spirit of Burning Man.
