Bronze medal in Nature in Budapest
Nov 04, 2019
In 2016 and 2017 I entered a lot of photography competitions. Although it was gratifying to sometimes win awards, I found that most weren't helping grow my audience, which was the main goal. So I've shifted my focus primarily to gallery showings and exhibitions. Still, every once in a while a contest catches my interest. I entered the 2019 Budapest International Foto Awards partially because it includes an exhibition in Budapest, but also because my wife lived there many years ago and we have great memories of the city.
This image, taken on my first night with my daughter and her friend at the Grand Canyon, won a Bronze in the Nature category.
