My image of two juvenile elephants at Amboseli was used by the World Wildlife Fund in their 2019 Endangered Species Day Campaign.

Agora Gallery in New York is showcasing three of my Beijing architectural images at ArtExpo New York, taking place April 4 - 7, 2019 on Pier 90. The three images are all from the "Out my hotel window" series.
My photo of the Hotel Ranga observatory and the Northern Lights was selected for the PhotoPlace Gallery 'A Color Moment' juried show.
Images from my series "Out my hotel room window, Beijing" were included in the See.Me group exhibition at "Art Takes Miami", shown at the grand opening of Art Basel Miami from December 6-8, 2018.
I was named a Selected Artist for the Chelsea 2018 International Photography Competition, for a set of images taken out my hotel window in Beijing.
My photo of a couple pushing their bikes out of a dust storm was used in the September 13, 2018 issue of The Jackrabbit Speaks, the Burning Man journal.
My photo of the "Catacomb of Veils" from Burning Man 2016 was used in a July 2018 article in Gentlemen/El Confidencial.
My photo of bikes on the playa was used for the cover of "The Jackrabbit Speaks," the official Burning Man newsletter, for the August 6, 2018 edition on bicycles.
My work is being shown at the FCDI "Moments in Architecture" show in Mumbai, India, from July 13 - August 13, 2018.
My image "Beijing Office Building" has been selected for the Center for Photographic Arts "Members' Juried Exhibition". The show takes place at their gallery in Carmel from July 7 - August 12, 2018. For the show, 45 artists were invited out of 1,100 submissions nationwide.
My work is being shown in the India Arch Dialog (IAD) 2018 show in Delhi, India from February 9 - 25, 2018.

Six for six! All six of my entries into the 2017 Chromatic Awards International Color Photography Contest won Honorable Mention in the Amateur competition. All the images are shown below.
Two of my images made the Top 50 in the 2017 Proify Awards. The Proify Awards are "dedicated to shining a spotlight on up and coming and undiscovered talent."
The TPOTY (Travel Photographer of the Year) is one of the world's biggest and most prestigious travel photo contests. In 2017, 20,000 images were submitted in 9 categories from 126 countries, including only one category (New Talent - Destination) for non-professionals. Very honored that I was named Runner Up in that category, for my portfolio of six images from Burning Man in 2016.
Very honored that I received eight Honorable Mentions in the Neutral Density 2017 Photography Awards. The ND Awards is an international competition that in 2017 received 6,849 entries from 89 countries.

My series "Biking Across Burning Man" received third place in the 2017 International Photography Awards (ipa), in the "Amateur: Events - Other" category. IPA is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious photo competitions. This year the competition received almost 15,000 entries from 103 countries. A third place finish is in the top 3% of all entries received.

My photo of the northern lights over the Hotel Ranga observatory, along with some night photography tips, was published in the Shutterstock article "10 Unconventional Tips for Photographing After Dark."
Two of my images were published in the 2016 Elephant Crisis Fund Annual Report. I'm proud to support their work in saving elephants from extinction.
My photo "Hotel Ranga Observatory and the Aurora Borealis" was chosen as an Editors' Pick for the LensCulture Exposure Awards 2017.
The Neutral Density (ND) Photography Awards is an international competition dedicated to promoting photography and photographers. Judging is performed by a panel of international judges, including gallery owners, publishers, editors and renowned photographers.
In 2016 the competition received 6,422 entries from 85 countries. One of my images, "El Rcif, Fes, Morocco, 2015", received 3rd place in the People: Travel/Culture Category, putting it in the top 3% of entries. Another image won honorable mention.
"El Rcif, Fes, Morocco, 2015" received a Bronze star award in the People: Travel/Cultures category.
"Sunrise, Dolomites, Italy, 2015" won honorable mention in the Nature: Trees category.
The International Photography Awards is one of the largest and most prestigious photo competitions in the world. In 2016, the competition received 17,037 entries from 162 countries. The competition is juried by a board of professionals including curators, photo editors, gallery owners, art directors, and others from the international photography community.
I am honored to have received honorable mention for entries in four categories in the competition this year: Travel/Tourism (The Walls of Morocco), Nature/Landscapes, Nature/Trees, and Special Events (Colors of the Playa).

Another Photo Friday win! This time, the challenge was "Mountainous" and I entered this photo of Montserrat, near our home in Barcelona. (Incidentally, the only photo on my website taken with my iphone.)
Two weeks in a row on Photo Friday! This image, of El Pulpo Mechanico at Burning Man in 2011, was the top vote-getter in the "Heat" challenge in May 2016.
This image of the Hotel Ranga observatory, northern lights, and night sky won the 2016 Hotel Ranga photo contest.
In April 2015 my image of the Kasbah de Telouet was used in a Trover article on "17 Reasons You Need to Visit Magical Morocco."
